At the conference in Hawaii I presented a historical research paper about the Decline of the Church Music Profession in America and its Impact on Education.  It documented the growth of the church in America and the importance music and the organ played in that expansion from the end of the nineteenth century to the mid-seventies.  The critical circumstances for the precipitous decline were set into motion in the sixties.
